Spaghetti worms

The Zinger Pinger is collecting spaghetti worms when it notices they all have little orange dots on them. The Zinger Pinger has never seen dots like this before.

What has happened to the spaghetti worms? Are they still safe to eat? Perhaps the Zinger Pinger should try and get rid of the little orange dots. Or maybe the dots add some extra food value or hot spicy flavours to the worms.
