Snails
In some ways, Shell Children are like snails. This is because they carry their shell houses around on their backs for protection from the weather and other dangers.
Conduct some research into snails. Find out what all snails have in common, what different types of snails there are, where they live, what they eat, and how they behave.
Here are some ways to collect information about snails:
- Look at some snails
- Talk to someone who has studied snails and knows a lot about them
- Go to the library and look for anything about snails, what they look like and how they live
- Find books, magazines or leaflets about snails
- Search for “snails” on the Internet with the help of an adult.
