Shell safety device

The Shell Children have invented something that sticks onto their shell houses. It can save them if the Earthquake Bird flies in or the Snake River suddenly changes direction.

Maybe it is an inflatable air bag unit that insulates the shell from sound and makes it able to float. Or perhaps it is a jet engine that can instantly fly the shell house to safety.
