Golden glow

Dr Lizard woke one morning to find that she could see the whole world only in shades of gold. Everything was gold – the sky, the jungle, the Shell Children.

What did this mean? Did Dr Lizard like this? Was it a good thing? Why might it not have been so good? Did it last forever or was it only a temporary effect? What did Dr Lizard do about it?
