Invent a tent

This orange tent was found at the edge of one of the pumpkin growing patches in Pumpkin World. Why was it there? What could it be used for?

This tent might be very useful, but what for? Could the Pumpkin People use the tent to help grow bigger, better pumpkins? How could the tent do that? Perhaps it is a kind of time machine. Maybe it works like a magnifying glass.
